Class Size
Maximum of 30 skaters.  3 groups of skaters, grouped according to their skill level to ensure they are challenged.

Learning Format
For The Love Of The Game Ringette Academy teaches learning through fun - after all, isn't that why we play ringette?Each session includes moving the groups through skills and skating stations, and then 45-60 minutes of Shinny Ringette.  In Shinny Ringette the ring is always live, encouraging hustle and urgency, and there are no penalties (penalty shots instead).  Players of all ages and skill levels play together with lines matched by skill.  Players LOVE this environment as they have the opportunity to play at their level, rather than by age.

What will I learn in Intermediate Level?
Skills taught will be intermediate skills such as deaking, shooting zones, and lead passing with a focus on proper execution.  One new concept will be taught each class with players being able to practice that skill via skill based games and shinny.

Intermediate vs. Level 1 vs. Advanced
The Intermediate class is intended for Novice and Petite players who attended 2009 For The Love Of The Game Academy and who are the stronger players in their current level.  There is a quick review of fundamentals, with a focus on intermediate skills, powerskating and individual techniques.

How are we different?
For The Love Of The Game is about exactly that - The Love Of The Game.  We follow Lisa Brown's coaching philosophy of having fun while learning.  Therefore, we have incorporated unique ideas such as daily Heart & Hustle Awards, skating to music, and game-based drills into our program.

$325 for 10 icetimes (1.5hrs each), 15 hours of icetime, includes jersey
