Teams
2 teams for each age division with max. 13 players on the roster (lots of icetime!!).  If there are no goalies, we will use Tutor Shooters.  The games will be officiated and teams will be coached by volunteers. 

Just Like The Big Leagues!
Just for fun, we will be incorporating "trades" into the program!  Player A would be traded to the other team for Player B.  This would be done in fun and to balance the teams to ensure the games are competitive and fair.

Sportsmanship Rewarded
Rather than issuing penalties, either a penalty shot or a goal will be awarded to the other team.  Penalty free games will be rewarded as follows:

No penalties - 1 point
< 2 penalties - 1/2 point

What will I learn?
How to have fun!  There will be a 5 minute warmup at the beginning of each session and two 20 minute run-time periods of play.  In Shinny Ringette we minimize play stoppages.  The ring remains live when there is an infraction, with the other team receiving possession.  Penalty shots are awarded instead of penalties.
